Prepare a Fortune Pickaxe

Obtain a pickaxe and enchant it with Fortune at an enchanting table or anvil. Higher Fortune levels (I, II, or III) provide increasingly better results.

Harvest with Your Enchanted Tool

Approach a fully grown crystal cluster and right-click it while holding your Fortune pickaxe. The mod will drop significantly more shards than a bare-hand harvest or an unenchanted tool.

Understand the Scaling

The exact shard increase depends on your Fortune level—higher enchantment levels yield more shards per cluster. This makes Fortune pickaxes the best choice for large-scale farming operations.

Combine with Ultimine

For maximum efficiency, use your Fortune pickaxe with Ultimine to harvest multiple clusters at once. This combination produces the highest possible shard yield, making it ideal for players who want to gather amethyst quickly or stock up for crafting projects.
