Understanding the Body-Part Health System

When you take damage with this mod installed, the injury is applied to a specific body part rather than your whole health bar. The HUD shows separate health for your head, torso, left arm, right arm, left leg, and right leg. A damaged limb will display a warning color, and if it drops too low you may get effects like slowed movement or reduced attack strength. Your overall survival depends on keeping every part treated, not just topping up a single bar.

Treating Each Injury Type

Open your inventory and look at the body-part display to find which limb is hurt. Match the treatment to the injury:

  • Plaster — use on minor cuts and scrapes on a limb. It stops small bleeding and slowly restores that part's health.
  • Bandage — use on larger wounds or heavier bleeding. It halts blood loss and heals the affected part over time.
  • Morphine — use when a part is critically low or you are suffering from severe pain effects. It relieves the debuff so you can keep moving and fighting.

To apply, hold the item and use it while the injured part is selected, or right-click as prompted by the HUD. If a limb is fully black or shows a skull icon, that part is beyond saving with basic items and you need stronger intervention. Keep a stack of each item in your hotbar so you can react the moment you are hit.
