What Happens During a
Meteor Shower
When a meteor event triggers, meteors fall from the sky and impact the ground, leaving behind meteor blocks and scattering space moss in the surrounding area. The impacts can destroy terrain and hurt you if you stand under one, so the first thing to do is get clear of open ground. Watch the sky for falling streaks and move away from where they are landing rather than toward them.
Turning the Event Into Loot
Once the shower slows or stops, head to the impact sites. Mine the meteor blocks with a pickaxe — they are the core resource tied to this mod and are worth collecting in bulk. Around each crater you will usually find space moss blocks, carpets, and grass spreading outward; harvest these too, since they are the building blocks for everything else in the mod. Bring a decent pickaxe and empty inventory space, because a single shower can leave several craters. If space moss bugs spawn nearby, deal with them before you start mining so they do not interrupt you. Store your haul somewhere safe before the next event, and replant or place the moss where you want it to spread rather than leaving it in a chest.
