How to Build a Celestial-Themed Base with Meteor and Space Moss Blocks

Planning the Palette

This mod gives you a small but distinctive set: meteor blocks for the structural, rocky look, and space moss blocks, carpets, and grass for the organic, alien ground cover. Decide which is your primary building material and which is accent. Meteor blocks work well as walls, pillars, and crater rims; space moss works as flooring, paths, and landscaping around them.

Putting It Together

Start by clearing and leveling your build site, then lay down a foundation of meteor blocks for anything structural. Use space moss blocks as the floor of open areas and let space moss grass fill in the edges so the transition from building to ground looks natural. Space moss carpet is ideal for walkways and for covering small gaps without a full block. Because the moss spreads, either contain it with a border block or accept that it will creep outward and plan your layout around that. Mine extra meteor blocks during the next shower so you are not short mid-build, and keep a stack of space moss in reserve for repairs. If space moss bugs become a problem around your base, clear them before you start placing decorative moss so you are not fighting while you build.
