Understand the Difference

Whitelist mode (black_list_mode: false): Only animals on your list can wear collars. Everything else is blocked.

Blacklist mode (black_list_mode: true): All animals can wear collars *except* those on your list.

Change the Setting

Open your configuration file and locate black_list_mode. Change it to either true or false depending on which mode you want.

Keep Your List Intact

Your entity_types list stays the same—only its meaning changes. If you switch from whitelist to blacklist, the same animals that were *allowed* become *blocked*, and vice versa.

Reload and Test

Save the config and reload your world or server. Try placing a collar on a test animal to confirm the mode switched correctly. This is especially important on servers—announce the change to players so they understand which pets are now available or restricted.
