Connecting Surveyor Markers

Dead Reckoning integrates with the Surveyor map mod to display your colored map markers directly on the compass ribbon. This lets you navigate to marked locations without opening your map.

Setup Steps

1. Ensure both Dead Reckoning and Surveyor are installed and enabled.

2. Create waypoints or markers in Surveyor as you normally would using the map mod.

3. Open Dead Reckoning's configuration menu.

4. Look for an option related to Surveyor or "marker display" and enable it.

5. Return to your world—your Surveyor markers should now appear as colored dots or labels on the compass ribbon.

6. The ribbon will show which direction each marked location is relative to your current facing direction.

Troubleshooting

If markers don't appear:

  • Verify Surveyor is installed and you have created at least one waypoint.
  • Check that marker display is enabled in Dead Reckoning's config.
  • Ensure the compass ribbon itself is visible on your screen.
  • Markers only display if they are within a reasonable distance or if configured to show all waypoints.
