Modify Background Color Settings

Name tags can become hard to read when displayed over bright surfaces like snow or sand. The Background Color setting controls the backdrop behind text.

1. Open Mod Menu from your inventory

2. Navigate to Better Name Visibility Mod

3. Select Background Color

4. Use the color picker to choose a new background shade

5. Adjust the opacity slider to control transparency

6. Apply your changes

Optimization Strategies

For bright environments: Use a darker, more opaque background (closer to black) to ensure text stands out against light surfaces.

For dark environments: A semi-transparent background works well since there's less competing visual information.

For balanced visibility: Keep the background dark but slightly transparent so it doesn't completely obscure the world behind name tags.

The default semi-transparent black works well in most situations, but customizing this setting is especially useful if you frequently play in specific biomes or lighting conditions. Test different opacity levels to find what feels most comfortable for your eyes during extended play sessions.
