Strider

Mobs & entity

The Strider is a passive animal that spawns naturally in five biomes: Basalt Deltas, Crimson Forest, Nether Wastes, Soul Sand Valley, and Warped Forest.

Players who defeat a Strider receive string from it. A spawn egg for the Strider also exists, which lets players place one directly.

Animations

7 of these were recorded inside the running game, so the movement is the animation Mojang shipped rather than an imitation of it. Transparent background, free to download.

Stats

Mojang publishes these numbers in the Bedrock behaviour pack (bedrock-samples); the Java edition keeps them in code, not in any data file. Most values match across editions, but not all — treat them as the Bedrock figures.
