Squid

Mobs & entity

The Squid is a water animal that lives in Minecraft's oceans. It spawns naturally in 11 biomes, including Cold Ocean, Deep Cold Ocean, Deep Frozen Ocean, Deep Lukewarm Ocean, and Deep Ocean.

Players kill squids to collect the Ink Sac they drop. A spawn egg for the squid also exists, which lets players place one wherever they like.
