Chicken

Mobs & entity

The chicken is a passive animal that spawns naturally in 25 biomes, including Badlands, Bamboo Jungle, Birch Forest, Dappled Forest, and Dark Forest. It does not attack players.

Players kill chickens to collect the feathers and raw chicken they drop. A spawn egg for the chicken also exists, allowing players to summon one directly.

Animations

5 of these were recorded inside the running game, so the movement is the animation Mojang shipped rather than an imitation of it. Transparent background, free to download.

Stats

Mojang publishes these numbers in the Bedrock behaviour pack (bedrock-samples); the Java edition keeps them in code, not in any data file. Most values match across editions, but not all — treat them as the Bedrock figures.
