Checking Data Pack Status

Chicken variants spawn naturally across modded biomes when this data pack is active. First, verify it's enabled: open your world settings and check that the data pack appears in your active data packs list. If it's not there, the variants won't spawn.

Finding Chickens in Different Biomes

Chickens spawn in warm and temperate biomes across Terralith, Biomes We've Gone, and other supported world generation mods. Look in grasslands, savannas, and forest edges where chickens naturally appear. Different biome types may feature different chicken color variants.

Breeding and Farming

Once you find variant chickens, breed them with seeds as normal. Variant chickens lay eggs and produce chicks with their appearance traits. You can establish farms with specific chicken variants by selectively breeding them together.

If you're only seeing standard red and white chickens, the data pack may not be loaded correctly. Reload your world or check your data pack folder to ensure the pack is properly installed and active.
