Enabling and Using Icon Xaero's

Turning Custom Mob Icons On

Icon Xaero's is a resource pack that replaces the default radar dots on Xaero's Minimap and World Map with custom icons for individual mobs. It does not add new radar features on its own — it only changes how mobs already tracked by Xaero's are drawn.

To use it, enable the pack through your resource pack selection screen, then make sure Xaero's Minimap (and World Map, if installed) is active. The icons appear automatically on the radar once the pack is loaded; there is no separate toggle inside the mod itself.

If icons do not show, confirm the pack sits above the default resources in the pack list and that Xaero's is actually rendering entities on your radar. Supported creatures are those the pack ships icons for — mobs without a matching icon fall back to the standard radar marker. Because the pack only supplies textures, it works alongside Xaero's settings for entity display rather than overriding them.
