High On Animations Resource Pack FAQ

10 questions players actually ask, answered.

How do I install High on Animations?
Place the resource pack file into your resourcepacks folder, then select it in Video Settings > Resource Packs. Make sure it's positioned above any conflicting packs in your load order.
Will this work on servers?
Yes, but only players who have the resource pack installed will see the animations. Server-side installation is not required.
Do the animations affect performance?
The animations are purely visual and run on the client side, so they have minimal impact on frame rate. If you experience lag, try lowering your animation speed in Video Settings or disabling other resource packs.
Which blocks get animated?
The pack animates furnaces, torches, soul torches, campfires, froglights, glowstone, and other light sources. Check the mod's screenshots or load it in-game to see the full list of affected blocks.
Can I use this with other resource packs?
Yes, but place High on Animations higher in your resource pack list if you want its textures to take priority. Lower packs in the list will override it.
Why aren't my animations showing up?
Make sure Animated Textures is enabled in Video Settings, the resource pack is selected and active, and you're not using a conflicting pack that overwrites the same textures. Try reloading your resource packs with F3 + T.
Do the animations work in all game modes?
Yes, the animations appear in Survival, Creative, and Adventure modes since they're purely visual changes.
Will this mod update automatically?
Resource packs don't auto-update; you'll need to manually download and install new versions when they're released.
Does this change how blocks function or drop items?
No, this is a resource pack that only changes visuals. All block mechanics, crafting, and drops work exactly as normal.
Can I disable animations for specific blocks?
You can create a custom resource pack that overrides specific textures, but the base pack doesn't have a built-in toggle for individual blocks.
