Capturing Your Animals

To move farm animals without leads or minecarts, you need empty hands and the animal nearby. Hold Shift and Right-Click on the mob—it will be picked up directly into your hand or inventory slot. The animal is now safely contained as an item.

Moving and Placing Animals

Walk to your destination while carrying the mob item. When you reach where you want the animal, simply Right-Click on the ground and the mob will be placed back into the world. If you prefer, you can also drop the item from your hotbar using the Drop key, and the animal will appear where it lands.

This method works for all small farm animals like cows, sheep, pigs, and chickens. Check your mod configuration to see if size restrictions apply—very large mobs may not be pickable depending on your max_width and max_height settings. This approach is much faster than herding animals through multiple chunks or building transport systems.
