From The Fog Data Pack — FAQ

Installation & FAQ

This release is available in two forms so you can use whichever you prefer:

  • Mod (.jar) - a self-loading version that works on both the Fabric and NeoForge loaders. Place the jar in your mods folder and it applies to every world automatically.
  • Data Pack (.zip) - drop the zip into a single world's datapacks folder to enable the haunting only in that world.

Does it need any other mods? No - it is self-contained. Will it break my world? No; it only adds behavior and can be removed again. I do not see anything happening. That is intended early on - the haunting starts subtle and escalates over many in-game days.
