What Fast Leaf Decay Does

In vanilla Minecraft, leaves linger for a long time after the supporting log is removed, which makes clearing trees slow and tedious. Fast Leaf Decay changes that: once the log holding a leaf block up is gone, the leaves begin decaying within seconds instead of the long vanilla delay. The result is a much faster, cleaner tree-felling experience without changing how trees grow or how leaves look.

How It Works

The mod watches for leaf blocks that have lost their support and shortens the time before they disappear. You do not need to do anything special in-game - break the log as usual and the leaves will follow shortly after. The mod also exposes configuration options so you can tune the decay speed and control how item drops from leaves are handled. Those settings let you match the mod to your playstyle, whether you want near-instant clearing or a slightly gentler pace.
