How to Read Enchantment Descriptions in Tooltips

Hovering Over Enchanted Items

Once the mod is installed, every enchanted item you hover over in your inventory, a chest, or the hotbar will show extra text beneath the enchantment name. The description appears directly under each enchantment line, explaining what that enchantment actually does in plain language.

If you only see the enchantment name and no explanation, check that the item is genuinely enchanted rather than just renamed. The mod only adds text for real enchantments.

Reading Multiple Enchantments

Items with several enchantments stack their descriptions in the same order as the enchantment lines. This is useful when comparing two pieces of gear side by side — hold one item and hover the other to see both tooltips at once. You can quickly tell which sword has Sharpness versus Smite, or which pickaxe has Fortune versus Silk Touch, without memorizing vanilla behavior.

Toggling the Display

If the tooltips feel cluttered, open the mod's config screen from your mod list and look for options that control when descriptions appear. You can typically choose to show them always, only when a key is held, or hide them entirely. Adjust this to match how much information you want on screen during normal play.
