Embers Rekindled FAQ

It is a dwarven-themed magic and tech mod for Minecraft. It adds magical and technical content such as ore doubling, item transport, alchemy, and Ember-powered ray guns, all built around Ember energy extracted from the world's core near bedrock.

Find and slay an Ancient Golem, then use its drops to craft the Ancient Codex. The Codex guides you through the rest of the mod.

The Modrinth project page lists Minecraft 1.20.1. It is available for the Forge and NeoForge loaders.

Ember is the mod's core power source, a limited form of energy you extract from the world's core near bedrock. It is used for crafting, automation, and alchemy.

The Ember Bore requires at least 3 bedrock blocks touching its blades to mine Ember. In the 1.20.1 port, the Ember cluster it produces is worth 4400 Ember instead of 3600.

Alchemy was completely redesigned: you must match aspecti to ingredients, and alchemical waste gives hints similar to the game Mastermind.

In the 1.20.1 port, linking no longer requires shift-clicking, and you click on the emitter first.

Metal crystal seeds generate in small ruins instead of being craftable, and their metal type can be changed with an alchemy recipe. The Ember Injector can be placed up to one block away from a crystal seed, allowing up to 6 injectors on one crystal.

It is mostly a direct port of the 1.12.2 version, but with changes such as merged mechanical core and machine accessor, lead bins, waterloggable non-full blocks, beam splitters without an internal Ember buffer, and a pressure refinery capped at 3x multiplication instead of 6x. The Ancient Codex has been updated to reflect all the changes.

It adds the Ancient Golem and the Ember Packet.
