Placing Water Wheels in Rivers
Dynamic Waters' flowing water currents work seamlessly with Create mod water wheels, allowing you to generate power from natural river channels.
1. Locate an active river channel in your world
2. Identify the direction of water flow (water moves downstream toward lower terrain)
3. Craft a water wheel from Create mod materials
4. Place the water wheel directly in the flowing river channel
5. Position it so the current flows across the wheel's face
6. The wheel will begin rotating and generating rotational force
Optimizing Power Generation
For maximum efficiency:
- Place wheels in main river channels rather than small streams for stronger currents
- Align multiple wheels along a single river stretch to combine their output
- Use the flowing water's natural direction—don't fight against the current
- Avoid placing wheels in delta regions where water splits, as flow becomes weaker
