When items fall behind obstacles, into water, or land on terrain that matches their color, the glowing outlines make them instantly visible.

Using Highlights to Search

After dropping an item or dying, look around the area where it fell. Even if the item is completely hidden behind leaves, inside a tree, or buried under matching blocks, the bright outline will glow through obstacles and reveal its location.

This is especially useful:

• After dying in caves or forests
• When items fall into water streams
• When mining blocks that match dropped item colors (like sand or gravel)
• When looting inside structures with dense foliage

Improving Visibility

If you're having trouble spotting highlighted items in bright environments, try adjusting your game's brightness or moving to a different angle. The outlines work best when you can see the item's general area. If an item rolled far away, follow the direction it was moving—water currents and slopes will carry drops away from where they landed.
