The Grid System
Every industry and building block aligns with a predefined 16x16 chunk grid. When you place a block, it calculates its borders based on this grid. Most industries cannot overlap, though manufacturing industries can be placed inside Trade Buildings.
Food & Simulation
Industries require food to function. Every Minecraft day, a block has a chance to "eat." If no food is available, there is a 1% chance the industry will go out of business and drop as an item.
- Quality 0: Raw crops, apples (accepted by basic industries).
- Quality 11+: Cooked meats, bread, baked potatoes (required by
Large Factories and
Towers).
Disasters
Cities can randomly face disasters which must be managed:
- Drought: Water sources near
Farms may disappear.
- Fire: Random fires can break out in buildings.
- Blight: Crops in
Farms may die off.
- Alien
Invasion: Ghasts spawn and attack the city.
Economy & Taxes
Players can set a tax rate (0-20%) in Trade Buildings. Higher taxes generate more money but can slow down growth. Money is used to buy resources from the global market or other industries via the
Distributor.
