Adjust Lighting Colors and Brightness in Your Settings File

Locating the Settings File

Delight Map includes a text-editable settings file that lets you fine-tune how light behaves across your world. This file is included with the resource pack and can be opened in any basic text editor (Notepad, VS Code, etc.).

Making Adjustments

1. Find the settings file in your resource pack folder

2. Open it with a text editor

3. Look for values controlling block light warmth, sky light tint, and overall brightness

4. Adjust numbers to your preference—lower values typically darken, higher values brighten

5. Save the file

6. Reload your world or restart Minecraft to see changes

What You Can Change

Common adjustments include making shadows deeper or shallower, shifting the blue tint of sky light, adjusting torch warmth intensity, and tweaking overall world brightness. Start with small changes and reload between edits to see the effect. If something looks wrong, you can always revert to the original file or reinstall the pack.
