DayZ FAQ

It is a survival modification inspired by the ARMA II DayZ mod, focused on zombie apocalypse survival, unique world generation, new mobs, and a variety of items and blocks. The world has been hit by an unknown infection that wiped out most of the population, and you must search the wasteland to survive.

The Modrinth project page lists Minecraft 1.16.5, while the 9Minecraft article lists 1.8.9 and 1.7.10. The mod is made on MCreator and uses the Forge loader.

It adds tons of guns and weapons to fight zombies, its own infected zombies, and 2 new biomes: dead forest and burnt forest. It also adds a HUD showing player info, weapon and ammo, and stats like hunger, thirst, life, and armor.

The wiki has Guides and Reference sections. The mod focuses on surviving a zombie apocalypse, where you search the wasteland and fight the infected using whatever means you find.

You survive in a world wiped out by an unknown infection, searching the wasteland and fighting the infected. You can go solo or team up with friends and choose your own path.

The top left shows player info including name, number of players on the server, number of zombies, number of days, and coordinates. The top right shows the weapon name and rounds when holding a weapon, and the bottom right shows hunger, thirst, life, and armor if worn.
