Turning the Sky Into Cubes

The Cubic Sun and Moon resource pack replaces Minecraft's flat, two-dimensional sun and moon textures with three-dimensional cubes. Instead of a billboard-style sprite that always faces you, the celestial bodies become solid blocks floating in the sky, giving the day and night cycle a chunkier, more toy-like look.

The moon is the centerpiece: rather than a single texture, it uses eight distinct cubic phases. As the lunar cycle progresses, the cube visibly changes shape to match each phase, so the moon reads as a real object going through its stages rather than a flat image swapping out.

Because this is a resource pack, it changes only the appearance of the sun and moon. It does not add new items, mobs, or mechanics, and it does not alter how time or lighting works. Install it like any other resource pack and the sky updates immediately. It is purely cosmetic, so it stays compatible with most other packs and mods that do not already replace the sun and moon textures.
