Getting Started
To begin your journey into Crystallogy, you must first head underground to locate Crystal Ores. These ores typically spawn below Y-level 60 and drop Crystal Shards when mined.
The Book of Knowledge
The most essential item for any aspiring crystallogist is the Book of Knowledge. This in-game wiki contains all recipes and mechanics.
- Crafting: If lost, combine a standard Book with any Crystal in a crafting table.
Basic Processing
Your first machine should be the Crystal Crusher. This block is used to grind raw crystals into Crystal Dust, which is required for advanced crafting and infusion.
Crystals and Resources
The mod features four primary crystals, each associated with a specific element and set of player buffs.

Crystals are obtained by mining their respective ores or by processing shards in the Crystal Infuser.
Voodoo Doll System
The Voodoo system allows players to interact with entities from a distance.
- Entity Tagging: Use a Player Tag or Entity Tag on a target to "capture" their essence.
- Voodoo Doll: Combine the tag with a Voodoo Doll.
- Manipulation: Once linked, you can use the Voodoo Doll to apply effects, move the entity, or "play" with them. This is often used for utility or pranking friends in multiplayer environments.
