- Learn the roster. Take time to recognize each variant on sight - knowing which creepers are hostile and which are passive keeps you from panicking (or dying) when one appears.
- Explore widely. Since creepers are tied to biomes, visiting new regions is the best way to discover every variant.
- Use spawn eggs to collect them. In creative mode, grab the spawn eggs to line up all the variants and compare their models and animations.
- Stay cautious near the dangerous ones. The hostile variants still explode, so treat unfamiliar creepers carefully until you know how they behave.
- Build a showcase. The distinct, biome-themed designs make great display mobs for a base, zoo, or biome-themed build.
- Check your mod list if creepers look wrong. If the new creepers don't animate or appear, confirm the required libraries are installed and loading.
