Cosmetic Armor — Guide
Getting Started
- Open the cosmetic armor screen with its keybind (see Keybinds).
- Place the armor you want to display into the cosmetic slots. Keep your real, protective armor in your normal armor slots.
- Close the screen - your character now shows the cosmetic look while keeping the real armor's protection.
Your defense comes from the real slots; your appearance comes from the cosmetic slots.
Using the Cosmetic Slots & GUI
The mod's GUI gives you four cosmetic slots mirroring your helmet, chestplate, leggings, and boots.
- Show different armor: put any armor piece in a cosmetic slot and it overrides the visual of the matching real piece - others see the cosmetic look, you keep the real stats.
- Hide a piece: toggle a slot to hidden so that armor piece is not rendered at all (great for hiding a bulky helmet) while still wearing the real one for protection.
- Per-slot control: each of the four slots is independent, so you can mix shown, hidden, and default looks freely.
Open it whenever you want to change your look; your real armor in the standard slots is never affected.
