Identify the Problem

If mobs from a mod using Citadel Legacy appear frozen, have broken animations, or render with missing textures, the issue often stems from network syncing or model loading. First, confirm the mob mod itself is up to date and compatible with your Citadel Legacy version.

Check Client-Server Sync

Animation desync happens when the client and server disagree about entity state. This is rare in single-player but common on multiplayer servers. Ensure all players have identical mod versions installed. If using a server, verify the server jar includes Citadel Legacy in its mods folder.

Clear Cache and Reinstall

Corrupted model data can cause rendering glitches. Delete your shadercache and resource pack cache folders, then restart Minecraft. If problems persist, remove both Citadel Legacy and the dependent mod, then reinstall them fresh.

Report Persistent Issues

If animations remain broken after these steps, the mod combination may have a genuine compatibility issue. Document which mods conflict and report this to the relevant mod's support channels with your log file.
