Verify Citadel Legacy is Loading Correctly
Check Your Mod List
When Minecraft starts, open the Mods menu from the title screen. Search for "Citadel" in the mod list. You should see Citadel Legacy listed with a green checkmark, indicating it loaded successfully. If it appears with a red X or doesn't show at all, the mod file may be corrupted or placed in the wrong folder.
Test with a Compatible Mod
Citadel Legacy only functions as a backend library—it won't add visible items or creatures on its own. To confirm it's working, load a mod that depends on it (such as a creature or mob port mod). Launch a world and look for the expected mobs or features from that mod.
If the dependent mod's creatures fail to spawn or render incorrectly, Citadel Legacy may not have initialized properly. Try removing and reinstalling both mods, ensuring they are the correct versions for your Minecraft setup.
Watch the Log
If you're unsure, check your latest.log file in the .minecraft folder. Search for "Citadel" entries. Successful initialization will show framework messages confirming entity systems are ready.
