Install on Server and Client
Citadel Legacy must be present in both locations: the server's mods folder and every player's client mods folder. The mod handles entity data syncing between server and clients, so mismatches will cause desync or crashes.
Verify Version Matching
Ensure every player uses the exact same version of Citadel Legacy as the server. Version mismatches break network synchronization, causing mobs to behave unpredictably or fail to load. Ask players to check their mod list against your server's mod list before joining.
Test with a Small Group
Before opening your server to many players, test with one or two people. Spawn mobs from dependent mods and watch for animation stuttering, teleporting, or rendering errors. These signs indicate sync problems.
Monitor Server Performance
Citadel Legacy handles extra network traffic for entity updates. On servers with many mobs, this can add overhead. If lag increases noticeably after adding the mod, consider reducing mob spawn rates or limiting player count until optimization is possible.
