Bloom and Serenity UI — Guide
What It Changes
| Area | What is redrawn |
|---|---|
| Container screens | Crafting, furnace, chest, anvil, enchanting, brewing, loom, stonecutter, smithing, grindstone, barrel and more - each its own scene |
| Player screens | Survival inventory and creative inventory, including tabs and slot frames |
| HUD | Hotbar, hearts, armour, hunger, experience bar |
| Menus | Pause, options, advancements, statistics - carved wooden buttons and a warm background |
| World | Nothing. Blocks, items, entities and terrain are untouched |
Because the world is untouched, the pack is additive: it changes how the game feels to operate, not how it looks to explore.
Installing the Pack
- Download the pack
.zipfile. - Place the
.zipinto your.minecraft/resourcepacksfolder (do not unzip it). - Launch Minecraft and open Options -> Resource Packs.
- Move Bloom and Serenity UI from the left (available) list to the right (selected) list.
- Click Done. The menus change immediately.
The pack can be turned on or off at any time from the same screen.
Layering With Other Packs
This is the pack's main strength. Since it only ships interface art, it can sit above a texture pack you already use and you keep that pack's world with these menus.
- Texture packs - no conflict. Put Bloom and Serenity UI higher in the selected list.
- Other UI packs - these do conflict, since only one can own a given screen. Whichever sits higher wins.
- Shaders - unaffected; shaders do not draw the interface.
- Servers - client side only. Nothing needs installing anywhere else.
It also carries interface art for a number of popular mods, which is used automatically if you happen to run them and ignored if you do not.
