Know What You Are Facing

BetterEnd adds several mobs to the End: Cubozoa, Dragonfly, End Fish, End Slime, Shadow Walker, and Silk Moth. Most are ambient or passive, but Shadow Walker is the one to respect — it is a hostile End predator that can catch you off guard while you are building or mining.

Threat-by-Threat

  • End Slime: bounces around and splits like a vanilla slime. Kill it for End Slime drops. Not dangerous alone, but swarms can push you off ledges.
  • Cubozoa: a floating jellyfish-like creature. Mostly harmless, drops useful materials.
  • Dragonfly and Silk Moth: ambient flyers. Do not attack unless provoked; they are decorative and drop minor items.
  • End Fish: catch with a fishing rod in End water pockets for food and drops.
  • Shadow Walker: hostile. Fight it with Aeternium gear, keep your back to solid ground, and avoid fighting near the void.

Survival Tips

1. Always carry blocks to bridge over void gaps.

2. Light your base with Amaranita Lanterns or Andesite Lanterns to reduce ambushes.

3. Keep a water bucket or slow-falling effect handy when fighting near edges.

4. Do not farm Shadow Walkers until you have at least Aeternium armor.

Treat the End as a hostile biome even when it looks calm — one bad step is fatal.
