Install and Activate the Resource Pack

Getting the Pack Ready

Once you have the resource pack file, open your Minecraft launcher and navigate to your resource packs folder. You can do this by going to Options > Resource Packs > Open Pack Folder in the main menu. Place the downloaded pack file into this folder.

Enabling the Pack

Restart Minecraft or refresh the resource packs list. You'll see Bare Bones 2D Block Items appear in your available packs. Click the arrow icon to move it from the "Available" section to the "Selected" section on the right side of the screen.

The pack takes effect immediately—open your inventory to see blocks displayed as flat 2D sprites. The pack works with vanilla Minecraft and requires no additional mods or add-ons to function. If you're using multiple resource packs, position Bare Bones 2D Block Items higher in the list if you want its textures to take priority over other packs' inventory sprites.
