Set Up Armory of the Wild with Proper Model Support
Why Models Matter
Armory of the Wild replaces weapons, tools, and mobs with detailed Zelda-themed models. To see these custom models correctly in-game, you need companion mods that handle custom item and entity rendering.
Installation Steps
1. Install Polytone — this mod enables custom model rendering for items and blocks.
2. Install either ETF (Entity Texture Features) or EMF (Entity Model Features) — these allow mobs to display custom models and textures.
3. Load your world with Armory of the Wild active alongside these mods.
4. Check that weapons in your inventory display as Zelda-themed items (Master Sword, Traveler's Sword, etc.) and that mobs appear as Bokoblins, Stalnox, or other custom variants.
Troubleshooting
If weapons still look vanilla or mobs appear unchanged:
- Verify all three mods are in your mods folder
- Restart the game completely
- Check that Armory of the Wild loads *after* Polytone and ETF/EMF in your mod list
Without these companion mods, you'll only see texture changes, not the custom 3D models that make the pack distinctive.
