Whatever styling you give the item name carries through to the floating label, so a label can be coloured, bold or italic.

That turns labels into a colour code rather than just captions - for example gold for storage, aqua for workshops, green for farms and grey for routes. A storage wall done this way can be read in a single glance instead of container by container.
