Preparing for Breeding

Ensure you have at least two animals of the same type stored in your pen. You'll also need the appropriate breeding item—for example, wheat for cows and sheep, carrots for pigs, or seeds for chickens.

Initiating Breeding

Open the pen's interface and locate the breeding option. Select two animals from your stored population and provide the required food item. The animals will breed inside the pen, and a baby animal will be added to your collection.

Managing Population

Baby animals take up storage space just like adults. Keep track of your pen's capacity to avoid overfilling. You can remove animals at any time by interacting with the pen and selecting which animals to release or extract.

Breeding inside pens is more efficient than traditional farms since animals don't need space to move around, and you avoid the lag associated with large groups of mobs in the world.
