Harvest Resources from Penned Animals

Milking and Shearing

Open your pen's interface and look for the harvest or interaction menu. For cows and goats, select the milking option to collect milk buckets. For sheep, use the shearing option to collect wool. These actions work the same as manual interaction but happen directly through the pen interface.

Collecting Drops

When animals are ready to be looted—such as chickens dropping eggs or rabbits dropping hide—you can access a collection menu in the pen interface. Harvested items are automatically added to your inventory or nearby storage.

Special Animal Interactions

Certain mobs have unique interactions:

  • Turtles: Collect scutes as they mature
  • Frogs: Harvest froglight drops
  • Sniffers: Collect seeds they dig up
  • Bees: Extract honey from hives stored in pens

Check each animal type's specific options in the pen menu to see what resources are available. Harvesting doesn't harm the animals, so you can repeatedly gather resources from the same pen.
