Installing a WelshieRail Train Model

Prepare Your Game

Before adding a WelshieRail train, ensure you have the Minecraft Transit Railway mod installed and working. Launch the game once to confirm MTR is active.

Add the Train File

WelshieRail trains come as individual downloadable files. Each file represents one specific train model—you download only the trains you want.

Locate your Minecraft resource packs folder. On most systems, this is found in .minecraft/resourcepacks/. Extract or copy your downloaded WelshieRail train file into this folder.

Activate in Game

Launch Minecraft and open your world. Go to Options > Resource Packs. You should see your WelshieRail train listed under "Available." Click the arrow to move it to "Selected." The order matters—place it above the default resource pack so the custom train textures load correctly.

Verify Installation

Close the resource pack menu and return to your world. Build or navigate to a Minecraft Transit Railway station. When you spawn or summon a train matching the WelshieRail model you installed, it should display with the custom livery and design. If it appears as a default MTR train, reload your resource packs or restart the game.
