Using the Workshop for Gear Preparation

Smelt Ores and Cook Food

The workshop room is equipped with multiple furnaces. Bring your raw ores from mining runs and place them in furnace input slots with fuel (coal, charcoal, or wood). While smelting, use the crafting tables nearby to prepare other gear or organize your inventory.

Craft and Repair Tools

Use the crafting tables to make new tools from smelted ingots or repair damaged ones if you have the materials. The workshop's central location in the house makes it convenient to pop in between outdoor activities.

Batch Process Resources

Don't smelt one ore at a time. Collect multiple stacks before returning to the workshop, then run all furnaces simultaneously. This saves trips and keeps your workflow efficient.

Stock Furnace Fuel

Keep a dedicated chest or section in the workshop stocked with fuel. Charcoal from smelting wood is renewable and reliable. Having fuel on hand means you can start smelting immediately without running back to storage.
