Access and Use Converted UUID Data in Your Systems
Finding Your Converted Data
Once you've converted a UUID, the hexadecimal output is stored in a standard location that other systems can easily access.
Retrieving the Output
1. After running either uuid:_ or uuid:convert, check: /data get storage uuid:out plain
2. The result will display as a clean hexadecimal string
3. Copy this value for use in your builds, datapacks, or other systems
Integration Tips
Because the output is stored in plain text format at uuid:out, you can:
- Reference it in other functions or commands
- Store it in scoreboards or other data structures
- Use it to identify and track specific entities across sessions
- Build systems that rely on unique entity identification
The plain text format ensures compatibility with most datapack systems and makes the UUID readable in logs or debugging output. Always retrieve the data immediately after conversion if you need it for multiple operations.
