Troubleshoot Font Display Issues
Verify the Pack Is Actually Loading
If characters still look wrong after testing:
1. Confirm your custom resource pack is at the top of your resource pack list—not just enabled, but first
2. Type /reload in chat (not just /reload in console)
3.
4. Run /function fonttester:help again
Check for Conflicting Packs
If you have multiple resource packs active, lower-priority packs can override your custom fonts:
- Move your font pack above any other packs that might contain text files
- Temporarily disable other packs to isolate the problem
- Test again with
/function fonttester:show/ascii
Verify Your Resource Pack Contents
Make sure your custom pack actually includes font files. If the tester shows no change from vanilla Minecraft, your pack may be missing the font texture or configuration files entirely. Check that the pack's file structure is correct and complete.
