Set Up Your First Millstone to Grind Flour
Placing and Using the Millstone
The Millstone is your starting point for any baking project. Place it in your kitchen workspace—it doesn't require a specific foundation, just a solid block underneath.
To grind grain into flour:
1. Approach the Millstone with wheat, cocoa beans, or crystals in your inventory
2. Interact with the Millstone to open its interface
3. Place your grain inside
4. Begin grinding by hand—you'll need to perform repeated interactions or actions to process the grain
5. Watch the progress bar fill as you grind
6. Once complete, collect your fine powder from the output slot
Storing Your Flour
After grinding, you'll have powdered ingredients ready for the next step. If you're not using it immediately, place a Flour Sack nearby and transfer your powder inside for organized storage. This keeps your workspace tidy and lets you stockpile ingredients for multiple baking sessions.
Different grains produce different flours—experiment with each to see what works best for your recipes.
