Prepare Ingredients on the Cutting Board
Using the Kitchen Knife
The Cutting Board is where you break down fresh ingredients into smaller, usable pieces. You'll need a Kitchen Knife for this work.
1. Place your Cutting Board in a convenient location
2. Gather vegetables, fruits, or fish you want to prepare
3. Place an ingredient on the Cutting Board
4. Use your Kitchen Knife to slice the ingredient
5. Repeat knife cuts until the ingredient breaks into smaller pieces
6. Collect the cut pieces from the board
Building Your Ingredient Collection
Each ingredient requires multiple cuts to fully process. Carrots, for example, yield several pieces with successive knife work. This manual approach gives you control over how finely you prepare each ingredient.
Once cut, your prepared ingredients are ready to arrange on the Plate Block for final meal assembly, or stored for later use. Different ingredients may require different numbers of cuts—experiment to learn each one's breakdown pattern.
