Mix and Knead Dough in the Kneading Bowl
Preparing Your Ingredients
Before you knead, gather your flour and a liquid—water or milk both work. The Kneading Bowl is where flour transforms into workable dough.
1. Place the Kneading Bowl in your kitchen
2. Add flour to the bowl
3. Pour in your chosen liquid (water or milk)
4. Interact with the bowl repeatedly to knead the mixture by hand
5. Watch as the ingredients combine into dough
6. Once the dough reaches the right consistency, remove it from the bowl
Shaping Your Dough
After kneading, your dough is ready to shape. You can form it into loaves or other shapes depending on what you plan to bake. The shaped dough can then be placed directly into a heated oven for baking.
The ratio of flour to liquid affects how your dough behaves—adjust based on what texture you're aiming for. Thicker dough takes longer to knead but holds its shape better in the oven.
