Troubleshoot Uneven or Broken Shading

Identify Shading Artifacts

If certain blocks appear incorrectly colored, have harsh lines, or don't match the cartoon style, the shader may need reconfiguration. Common issues include:

  • Misaligned pixelation on specific block types
  • Flat colors where shading should exist
  • Flickering or banding in water or sky

Reset and Reconfigure

First, reset shader settings to defaults through the shader menu. Then gradually re-enable features one at a time, testing each change. This isolates which setting causes problems.

Check that your shader version matches your Minecraft version—incompatibility causes visual glitches.

Adjust Block-Specific Settings

Some shaders let you tweak how specific materials (water, glass, foliage) render. If only certain blocks look wrong, locate their individual settings and adjust pixelation, outline, or shading values.

If issues persist after reconfiguration, try disabling and re-enabling the shader entirely, or verify your graphics driver is up to date.
