Locating the Laboratory
Laboratories spawn naturally in the Testing Grounds biome. They are large, abandoned research structures filled with valuable loot and dangerous creatures. Search systematically by traveling through the Testing Grounds and looking for distinctive building structures among the terrain.
Bring tools for mining through walls if needed, and equip protective armor before entering. BioHazard Armor is recommended since laboratories often contain hostile mobs.
Exploring Safely
Enter cautiously and listen for mob sounds. Laboratories may contain genetically modified predators like the Distortus rex or Mutadon, which are more dangerous than standard dinosaurs.
Search thoroughly for chests containing unique drops, ancient wood blocks, and crafting materials. Watch your step—some areas may have hazards or confined spaces where large dinosaurs can trap you.
Use torches to light your path and mark exits so you don't get lost. If you encounter a hybrid predator you can't handle, retreat and return better equipped. The laboratory's resources are worth the risk, but survival comes first.
