Survive Your First Encounter with a Tyrannosaurus rex

Preparation Before Entering the Testing Grounds

Before hunting or exploring where T-rex spawns, craft or find BioHazard Armor. This armor is essential—it grants constant health regeneration and removes active potion effects, giving you a significant survival advantage against the mod's most dangerous predators.

Bring a bow with plenty of arrows, or a sword with high durability. Stock your inventory with food and consider bringing an Antidote bottle, which has five uses and can clear status effects if you're poisoned or debilitated.

Engaging the T-rex

When you spot a Tyrannosaurus rex, maintain distance and use ranged attacks. The T-rex is slow to turn, so strafe around it while shooting. Never engage in close melee combat unless you're heavily armored and have healing items ready.

If the dinosaur closes in, back away toward natural obstacles like trees or rocks that can slow its movement. Use the terrain to your advantage—T-rex struggles in dense forests and tight spaces.

Once defeated, collect the Trex Teeth and raw meat drops. These are valuable crafting materials and food sources. Always retreat to safety if your health drops below half—regeneration takes time.
