A Library, Not a Gameplay Mod

Percale is a small serialization and data library mod. On its own it adds nothing you can craft, place, or interact with in a world — it exists to give other mods a shared, consistent way to read and write data.

Because of that, you will usually only see Percale in your mod list as a dependency. Mods such as Bountiful rely on it to handle their data, so if you install one of those mods, Percale needs to be present alongside it.

For Developers

Percale provides serialization and data-handling utilities that other mods can build on, rather than a player-facing feature set. Developers use it to store and load mod data without writing that plumbing themselves.

For Players

If you are not a developer, there is nothing to configure or interact with here. Keep Percale installed when another mod requires it, and otherwise treat it as background support.
