Create Natural-Looking Fields and Plains
Layering Grass Heights for Depth
The mixed grass model style is your best tool for creating realistic, varied fields. This style automatically combines short and tall grass variants across the same area, mimicking how real grasslands grow with natural height variation.
To maximize this effect, leave large areas of grass untouched rather than clearing them flat. The resource pack will handle the visual variety—tall grass will appear alongside shorter clumps, creating depth and movement across plains biomes.
Enhancing Field Aesthetics
Pair colorful grass with pampas grass variants, which the pack includes for extra detail in open biomes. These taller, feathery plants break up uniform grass fields and add focal points to large landscapes.
Avoid over-terraforming plains areas. The more natural grass you leave, the more the pack's color variety can show through. If you're building in plains, consider leaving grass strips between structures or creating intentional meadow areas. This approach lets the colorful grass tips and fluffy textures become landscape features rather than background details.
