This mod is designed to work best when your graphics settings match its optimization. Open your Video Settings and locate the Leaves option. Set it to Fast rather than Fancy. This ensures the mod's leaf models render using the fastest pipeline, preventing frame rate drops even in thick jungles or mangrove swamps.

Verify Your Frame Rate

Walk into a dense biome—jungles and dark oak forests are ideal test locations. Open your debug screen (F3 on most systems) and watch your FPS counter. The bushy leaf models should display without causing stuttering or significant frame loss. If you experience drops, check that Fast Leaves is enabled and that no conflicting resource packs are active above this one in your pack list.

Test with Shader Packs

If you use a shader pack, enable it while keeping this mod active. The mod is built to maintain performance even under demanding custom lighting. Load into your test biome again and confirm smooth gameplay. The extra 3D leaf layers will render with shader effects applied, creating enhanced visuals without sacrificing stability.
